It closes at noon each day for one hour.
2004-2005 BAR ASSOCIATION PHOTOGRAPH
the 2004-2005 Saint Lucie County Bar Association Photograph sitting has tentatively been set for the month of November in the law library. A photographer will take your individual photograph. A make up appointment will be set as needed. Full participation should make this a truly marvelous photograph to display the practicing bar of Saint Lucie County.
THE HOWL OF HURRICANE FRANCES
by Kevin Griffin
Most of our offices have been affected by this devastating storm either by physical damage, telephone and electrical power outages, or employee absences. The past two weeks has been anything but normal. Many of us involuntarily have become accustomed to being deprived of the most basic comforts and services our modern society provides. The howl of a hurricane humbles all who hear it. This hurricane's howl was heard by us even though we sought safety from the storm in one of the community shelters or behind our boarded up homes. Some of us left the area on Thursday or Friday before the storm and escaped the noise of the howl but we did not escape its wrath. The office and our homes as we all observe show signs Frances was there. Some have water damage, wind damage, telephone problems, air conditioning problems, no cable television, and everything else that she left behind. We all have one thing in common now after Frances and her howl have come and gone and that is the universal dread of the rumor of another hurricane.
